Boyne Highlands Resort

Boyne Highlands is a mid-Western skiing icon, offering a wide variety of lifts and slopes, as well as full resort accommodations, numerous festivals and continuous night-life. Adventures include heading up to a mountain ski lodge for a picnic lunch, cross-country skiing, tubing, zip lines and more.

Night life often begins at the Zoo Bar with live bands when the slopes close. At the lodge, the Slopeside often hosts bands and sports tv. Resort visitors would well consider a visit to the spa or hot tubs.

A lesser known secret is Boyne Highlands often hosts the end-of-season snow boarding party, the last weekend after the season ends, with Spring skiing and amazing tricksters.

In summer, the Boyne Highlands resort offers golf, mountain biking, zip lines, horse back riding and a full spa.

The Cheboygan Golf & Country Club

“Since opening in 1922, the Cheboygan Golf & Country Club has built a reputation for offering quality playing conditions to golfers in northern Michigan. The 18 holes of “Championship Golf” is open to the public, and offers the golfer a variety of holes to play. The front nine has a “Scottish” style with rolling mounds and a few trees to contend with, while the back nine features a picturesque northern woodlands design. The entire golf course is enjoyable to play because it is not overly long and easy to walk. However, the smaller, smooth greens will put an emphasis on your short game making it challenging enough for the most experienced of golfers.”

Little Traverse Bay Golf Course and Restaurant

“Nestled above the bay for which it is named, Little Traverse Bay Golf Course and Restaurant exemplifies Harbor Springs at its best. This unique public golf club provides superior golf and dining in a peaceful and harmonious setting. Since its first full season in 1992, Little Traverse Bay has retained its status as a “favorite” among residents and visitors alike. The golf course provides breathtaking water views from twelve of the eighteen holes. Four different tee complexes and ingenious routing through hilly terrain allow all levels of golfers to enjoy (not merely endure) a challenging day on the golf course. As beautiful as the course may be, it cannot upstage the attractiveness of the dining room and patio. Situated at the heart of the golf course, the restaurant offers magnificent views of the sometimes tranquil, sometimes ominous Little Traverse Bay. The restaurant is open to the public for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, throughout the summer.”
